After graduation I eventually got a job at National Bank of Detroit and that is where I met my husband Ted Kondek. We've been married 43 years and we have 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. We're are enjoying our senior years, gardening and having fun with the grandkids. I was most fortunate in getting a librarian postion at the school system here in Edmore where we've lived for 30 some years. I was the elementary librarian for 15 years and retired from that position 6 years ago. I still do subbing as I guess I'm not ready to call it quits yet. I didnt go on to college and that is why I count myself lucky to have gotten the job running the library. My interests include story telling, and I'm not talking about reading a story but telling a story from memory, running a small historical museum in town, and genealogy (more history). My family history has taken us to Germany where my ancestors came from and I actually found relatives of my greatgrandfather and they invited us to visit the homeland and stay with them.
