FRANK's Story

My history After leaving St. Michael's HS, I attended Rutgers U. I graduated with a BA, majoring in Biology and Psychology in 1957. The last 3 years I was given a wrestling scholarship. I started working in a Major Pharmaceutical company as a Biologist. I also registered in a Master of Science program in Biology at New York U. I started taking courses. However, I was paying my own way and they were getting quite expensive. Since I had a wife & child by then, I stopped for a while, but kept on working. After a couple of years my employer started offering to pay for continuing education, so I went back to NYU and kept taking more courses. However, NYU kept changing requirements and adding more courses. When they came up with the requirement that all Masters courses had to be completed within a 5 yr period or lose some of the earlier credits, I had it , so dropped out of the Masters program. romoted first to Staff Biologist and then Research Biologist. I didn't want to give that up, so I kept working at it while using my Accounting degree for a side business. In the meantime my first marriage ended, and after a while I re-married and wound up with more children. In all I raised 4. Three girls and a boy. Two were biological and two thru marriage, but I loved them all equally. To continue, I don't know how many of you were in my English class with Sister Mary Theresa, but if you were, you may remember the day she caught me writing a short story in her class. You all got a kick out of that. Well I continued writing since then, (actually she helped me with that). I mostly had written short stories and got some of them published on Amazon. Then, I started writing a novel. Well, I just got my first novel published this past January. The title is "The People Factory" and it can be found as a ebook and paperback on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and a bunch of other places. It's been called a futuristic thriller and I've just been given Five Stars by the "Readers Favorite" panel. So, I don't plan on ever retiring.
