Frank's Story
Life
After high school, I went to TCJC for a year. In May of 1979 I moved to Oklahoma to go to work for General Motors. I have stayed active in sports by becoming a baseball, softball, and basketball official. At one point I had 100 officials working for me. I scheduled games for them from little league all the way to high school games. I officiated games up to the junior college level. I did all this while working for GM and working around my 3 kids schedule.
Gm closed my plant in May of 2006 and I decided to retire and go back to school. I am only a few hours away from a Biology degree and will start Physical Therapy Assistant...Expand for more
classes in August. Yes you read the first sentence correctly. I am retired. All the kids are grown and the youngest will start college in the fall. I enjoy spending time with the 3 grand kids, playing golf and fishing.
Going back to college has been a great experience. The college came to me and asked me to work for them as a Biology, Human Anatomy tutor. I have been doing that for a year part time in the Biology lab. The math department came to me and asked me to be a supplememtal instructor for college algebra which I am also now doing. I would like to finish my degree and maybe someday become an instructor at the college.
