Frank's Story

Frank is from Chicago, Illinois,. married since 1971 to my soul mate and best Friend Betty. We have two sons Tom and Dan of who I'm very proud. My schools include St. Bonaventure High School. and later I graduated from DeVry Institute Of Technology in Chicago where I earned an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Technology. I didn't follow up to college after High School, getting a very good paying job with a company I thought I could grow old with, RR Donnelly and Sons The Lakeside Press. Unfortunately, I was laid off, three years later. when 2 of their largest accounts, Life and later Look Magazines went bankrupt. I then ended up working in lower management in the Trucking Industry for the next 20 years, which paid very well. After 7 companies went out of business underneath me I decided to go to DeVry in 1990 to acquire a more saleable trade. Shortly after graduation I changed course and ended up in Computers, Networks and Information Technology. Started as a computer repair technician servicing computers and printers for a Computer services organization gaining experience and taking classes in Microsoft Network systems. Became an independent contractor working at a large Bank in downtown Chicago as LAN Administrator for 12 years, 8 as an independent contractor and 4 as an employee. Budget cuts to IT in the Bank resulted in me going to a food manufacturing company as a Network Administrator which lasted until they went moved to PA in 2008. Not wanting to leave Chicago I joined a Service organization again, this time as Systems Specialist, working on various Projects and recently promoted to writing installation manuals for the installation technicians. Working from my home office most of the time I don't really see a need to retire and will continue working as long as I can. My hobbies include HO Model Railroading where I was a member and officer of the Salt Cre...Expand for more
ek Central Society Model Railroad Club in Elmhurst IL, from 1985 to 1990. I then became interested Garden Railroading in G Scale and setup a layout in my home backyard. I took down the layout from by backyard and am setting it up at our Camp "Home away from home". We spend most weekends throughout the year there so it made sense to move it there. Sun Aura Resort, in Northern Indiana, is the camp I refer to and is a Clothing Optional Resort and we've been members since 1996. Military and Ship Model building and fine Woodworking are two more hobbies I enjoy. I also enjoy Karaoke singing the tunes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Alan Jackson, Tobby Keith, Harry Belefonte, Gordon Lightfoot and others. My singing abilities have made me a featured singer at our camp's pageants. I also wrote and published a newsletter for our camp (Nudes News) for a couple years until it got to be too much and interfered with other priorities. Maybe I'll revive it when I do retire. I will have enough to keep me busy if I ever do decide to retire. I firmly believe that we have to keep active through out our lives if we want to live a long and enjoyable life. MUSIC;: Frank likes includes 50's 60's and 70's Rock and Some Classical, Phil Collins, Alan Jackson. Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Gordon Lightfoot and others. BOOKS; Frank likes include authors Dan Brown, Tom Clancy, Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle. MOVIES; Frank likes include Patton, Rear Window, Lawrence of Arabia, The Wind and The Lion,. There were times I'd put just $5 to $10 worth of gas in my tank, while other times $50. I've had just $5 to feed myself and I've also had $200 to go out to eat. I’ve had a house full of food and I didn't have any. I’ve been
