Frank Salinas:  

Life I married Charlotte Turk after our first year of college in Seattle (her at SPU and me at UW). Charlotte and I have three kids, Alejandro (19), Elizenda (16) and Oscar (10). I got my Master's degree at the UW in 1992 and began working in higher ed. I have taught at YVCC, Boise State University and Skagit Valley College. Since about 1995 I have been working in student service positions and got my first job as a director in 1999 at Spokane Community College. After moving back to western Washington to work at Skagit Valley College I was offered a position as the Director of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Idaho. I was in that position until April of 2007 when I accepted the position as the Director for Student Support Services at Washington State University. Charlotte has been a midwife for several years (licensed), having delivered more than 400 babies. She returned to school and completed her nursing degree and began working at a local hospital.
