Now to get the logistics correct... I moved right to Miami after graduation and got hired by United Airlines as a Customer Service Rep. I spent 3 years there while I got my mechanic license to maintain the planes and moved to San Francisco in 1990. I spent 5 years in the Bay area performing major overhauls to jumbo jets and mountain biking. Moved to Los Angeles beach area(s) in 1995 and spent 5 years playing a lot of beach volleyball when I wasn't working and performing line maintenance. 2001, fresh off an amicable divorce I was promoted to a new position as lead & station maintenance controller, I bought my 1st home on a golf course and did a lot of rappelling off mountains in my spare time. I moved in to my new home a week before Sept 11th of all the ironic times when you need stability, ie house payments, and the industry was hurting!! LOL!!! I got Married again in 2003 to a lovely young lady I met on a flight to Orlando in 2001. Our house made it through the latest LA Grand Prix fires in 2004 and United had been in Bankruptcy for the last two years at that point. Traveled again to Phuket & Bangkok, Thailand and Sydney Australia 9 months before the tsunami with my wife on vacations. Was on the same beach in Phuket as some of those videos...talk about good timing! More good timing...Sold our house in 2005 and rented a house in Hermosa Beach overlooking the ocean for the winter for six months while we figured out what to do next. Surprised my wife with a new 2005 Mercedes for Christmas and looked forward to the future and to try to start a family! 2006 we decided to be closer to family, which are all in Florida, so we moved to DeBary (between Orlando & Daytona Beach) and bought another 4 bed / 3 bath house in another golf country club community. I resigned from United after almost 18 years of service...but not before we went to St. Maarten and London on two different holiday trips for fun! I was hired by ILFC Aviation Consulting a week after resigning from United and have done a lot of aircraft technical consulting for them in Europe, North & South America, the Middle East & Asia under my own consulting business, Aircraft Technical Services, which can be found online.
