Glenna Suzan's Story

While my first name is Glenna (as shown in year books) I was known by my middle name - Suzan. Many would know me as "Willa Walkers little sister" ...as she was noted for...well.."defending herself" a bit too well! LOL I was involved with marching band & concert band/orchestra throughout my school years...until college. I atteded Chaffey High School my freshman & a little more than half of my sophomore year, then transferring to Alta Loma. College...wow. What can I say? College of the month club? :) Cal Poly, PCC, CSLA, CSLB, ElCamino, UCLA. Married once (happily single). Two children. Live at the beach. I have spent a lot of time in Baja & the Caribbean. I have also spent a lot of time in physical rehab...equestrian mishap, owned a Honda ATC, whitewater & windsurfing mishaps, blew a disc (C5) on a stripey marlin then fished in Alaska wearing a cervical collar (I know...not very smart), quit skydiving after bouncing 3 times, etc ...now I am retired. I spend most of my time being a mommy to my youngest shadowing her high school sailing team & junior lifeguards. Fun time is usually beach related, pirate events, or Parrothead Club related. I spend a lot of time on the road as I am usually somewhere between Ventura and San Diego. There is a line in a Jimmy Buffett song..."some of it's been tragic, some of it's been magic - it's b...Expand for more
een a good life all the way..." I guess that pretty much describes all of us, doesnt it? While I have a few regrets, they are just few...with lots of good memories (and lots of aches & pains from playing too hard! - but I still get out on the dance floor!) LOL I have two increadible kids and one grandchild, and I am fortunate enough to still be able to play, camp & boogyboard with them! I have friends from my childhood, friends from my marriage (my ex-husband is still a friend) and friends from various times in my life. Some are older, many are younger, and a few are my age. Some are even still willing to camp, play at the beach & whitewater raft with me!!!! I can see the ocean from my kitchen & dinning.room...and the ocean is an important part of my life...so each morning I wake up feeling blessed. To everyone that has been part of my past - I say thank you. To everyone that will be a part of my future - I say thank you. To my orthopedist that keeps my cranky knees moving - I say I LOVE YOU!!!! LOL Most important, to my son that fixes the toys that I break and is still willing to go play with Mom - when St. Peter asks me what the highlight of my life was, I will proudly say "my son....my daughter...both so amazing"... An update....my baby girl is a freshman in college...am I an unemployed mother, or an orphan? LOL
