Gari's Story
After finishing high school I went to Sacred Heart Seminary to earn my BA in History with a minor in Philosophy. In 1986 I left the seminary and taught religion to students at Cabrini High and Divine Child High School for three years. During my time teaching I met a religious congregation called the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and left to enter formation with them in 1989. I'm now a religious order priest. work at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL. As an Oblate I've had the pleasure of serving in Seattle, WA, Sisseton, SD, Miami, FL, Lowell, MA to name a few. Well, that's enough for now! Cheers to the ND Class of 1981 and all my other mates! Wow looking back at all the places I've been I can only say this is how it feels to get old I guess!
