Life
Left Abilene and moved to San Angelo in June 1976. Went to Lakeview HS for about a month before quitting school altogether and work at various odd jobs. Meet my 1st wife (and only one) in October 1976 and moved to Brady to be near grandparents and work at a permanent job at the local mining company (sand mining for oil wells & sand blasting). Married in May 1977, had two boys and worked in same job before getting injured on the job. Stayed on worker's comp and trained for new career as a minister in the United Methodist Church. r lived in Crystal City, Rankin, Hallettsville and Victoria before moving back to home town of my wife in Miles, Texas. Currently on disability from multiple surgeries on back and neck. Just celebrated college graduation of youngest son with oldest son already graduated and job as teacher/coach. Youngest son will also be teacher/coach when finds a position. Will be celebrating 30 years of marriage on 28th of this month. Would love to hear from others in and around Abilene. My dad still lives there so continue to keep up with Cooper activities.
