Gary's Story
After school i started with Safeway stores in California. later worked at the Oniell meat Compaby in fresno California.
then to work at Swift & Company as sales rep in the Hotel Resturant, & institutional division. I met Chic Brooks in Fresno who opperated about 10 resturants . I began cuttting steaks part timne for the resturants in a small area in rear of one of the resturants.Mr. Brooks keep adding resturants and I began hiring employees and eventually building a Meat Plant for our expanded operation.We processed thousands of steaks daily, ground beef, prime rib, etc,.

tribution center and a fleet of trucks. My 2 brother and several of my sisters also worke there at different times. It was a great experience and very fufilling.
I got my start with the National School of Meat Cutting. but continued to broaden my knowledge of the meat industry over years. I studied animal Agriculture, meat Science. Micro-biiology and Proetolytic Enzyme tenderazitation.
I left the meat business in 1979 and moved to Washington State. I started several new business and have had the pleasure of working with my four sons. I have recently retired.
I enjoyed my time in Toledo, my instructors and my class mates.
