I guess I'm what you could call a late bloomer, or perhaps a slow learner...I didn't stand out or stand up much in High School, so you might not remember meeting me. You might have seen me play the guitar at the Spring Hootenanny, but other than that, I remember being fairly quiet. My extra-curricular activities favored surfing (Cove or Rat Beach), hiking the rocky coastline around PV, and playing guitar with friends. In college, I discovered two of my passions in life, Geography and Spanish, which led to MANY amazing adventures in Latin America, most of them focused on mountain climbing, backpacking, and intercultural understanding. I have been fluent in Spanish since 1984 and it has been a big part of who I am...in fact, in the Spanish speaking world, I go by Eduardo (my middle name is Edward).
