We have two children, both married and living in California, and five grandkids, all under the age of 15. Naturally, they are all extremely smart, attractive, athletic, absolutely perfect children ... not that we're biased or anything. For 23 years Raelene and I worked together as owners of Artsigns Architectural Graphics, a designer and manufacturer of large exterior and interior sign systems for corporate campuses, business parks, high rise office towers, hospitals, etc.. We sold the business a few years ago. Soon after, we sold our much loved 1903 Craftsman house in the Bay Area and moved to the Pacific Northwest. It took a while, but we adapted to living in an area that has actual weather! Californians have flocked to the Northwest, and for good reason. It is a beautiful part of the country, with friendly people, great scenery, and a more relaxed pace than is found in Silicon Valley. Because we missed our California family and friends, we made the long drive south so frequently that our car could find its way with no help from us.
