Gay Lynne's Story

Life I graduated Southwest Texas University with an degree in Urban and Regional Planning in August 2001. I moved to NY for AmeriCorps: VISTA. Its like the Peace Corps, but in America. I finished my VISTA program November of 2002! Rochester,NY, feels like home. I got married in 2005. The ceremony was beautiful! It was held in Central Park at Shakespeare Garden and the reception was amazing at Tavern on the Green. It was the perfect day. We went to Tokyo for our honeymoon and Matthew and I lived there August -November 2005 for his job while I did research on Green Spaces. It was crazy! yvale, CA and we were there between 2005-2007. I really liked Sunnyvale, but I got a call from my professor and she offered me an assistantship to go back to school. So, I went to Buffalo, NY for the four semesters to finish up my EdM. and MUP. During 2007-2008 I was elected the Graduate Student Association Vice President. It was an amazing experience and it has made me really miss Buffalo. I graduated from University at Buffalo SUNY with my Masters in Education 2007 and Masters in Urban Planning 2008. I am now currently living with Matt in Durham, NC and looking for a job. Things are great and I am living my dreams. I hope all is well, drop me a line and yall stay safe!
