Gayle's Story
I started working in the dental profession while still in high school and am now (after 35 years) retired from it. I married a guy from Cleveland, OH, and we moved to Arlington, TX, in 1978. He is now deceased. Aside from a couple of moves back to Lawton, we stayed there until my daughter graduated from high school in Arlington. Then, she and I moved to Dallas, where I met and married a Dallas native. Besides my daughter, I have three sons, two of whom are twins, three daughters-in-law, one granddaughter, and two grandsons. My daughter lives in Dallas and is in the restaurant management business. My twin sons live in Los Angeles and are both artists...Expand for more
. My other son lives in Aledo, TX, and is also an artist who decided to become an architect! They took after their father, an artist as well, having acheived their masters’ degrees. While living in Dallas, we resided in an art loft, where my husband managed the property, both commercial & residential. He also created and showed his art in many art shows while there. It was quite an experience! We lived above a neighborhood pub called the Bar of Soap, which had a laundromat in the back and live bands on the weekends. Very bohemian! After a few years of that, we moved to a suburb southwest of Dallas, where it is slower-paced but growing quickly.
