Genny's Story
Life
Am married to my best friend, Ron, who is an engineer at Halliburton (35 yrs). We love to go hunting together for deer, turkey, dove, quail, wild boars, coons, etc. Have a hunting lease in Young Co. where we spend lots of time. Target shooting is also really fun. My classroom is full of critters, skulls, skins, etc that we have harvested. Students are intrigued by my outdoorsy life. One of these city kids asked if the pheasant on my wall was an eagle!!!
School
Was in trouble all the time for talking; had a...Expand for more
reserved seat in the principal's office till 8th grade. Always loved the social aspect of school, tho. Made lifelong friends in high school. Kissed a thousand frogs along the way-some who later turned into princes. What fun!
Was not mature enough for college the first time. Went back at age 37. Was ready then--even came very close to med school. Taught college anatomy & physiology for several yrs.& am now teaching h.s. What a gas!
Workplace
After yrs. of teaching college, now i teach h.s. biology. Love it.
