Chester's Story
Chet is retired and lives in Sausalito, California. Chet's schools include Somerville High School. Chet later attended Boston University's College of General Education and College of Business Administration. After being drafted in the US Army Finance Corp and duty in Kyoto,Japan he started his work career in 1955 as an Auditor for General Foods in White Plains,NY traveling all over the US and Canada. While Auditing a GF Maxwell House Coffee Plant in Oakland, Calif he met his wife Nancy Blume and changed business careers. He became a TV Advertising Salesman for KOVR-TV in Stockton,Calif. That experience led to similar employment with WHDH AM-FM and WHDH-TV Boston. You may remember the Candlepin Bowling program with Jim Britt and Don Gillis, I created and managed the pgm. Jess Cain,the disk jockey,Curt Gowdy the Red Sox announcer and I worked together at WHDH. 3yrs later I moved over

V as a senior TV Rep,married,had 2 daughters,and built a lovely home in Lexington,Mass. Ambition got me promoted to Chicago,had another daughter and on to NYC . My goal to become a Mad Man on Madison Avenue.
My wife's goal was to move back to San Francisco which we did in 1966 as Mgr of KPIX-TV San Francisco. When my contract expired I joined KRON-TV in San Francisco in 1968 until I started my own TV Rep and Syndication Company in 1983. My wife died in 1979,so I raised my daughters Anne went to Wellesley College and became a Philadelphia Attorney. Jane a wonderful oil and watercolor artist and Kate, a graduate of Oregon Univ. working for Chuck Schwab Stock Brokers. I remarried my DaiseyMae from Louisville ,KY and after 11 KY Derbys we divorced and I moved back to Sausalito the Marblehead of San Francisco just across the Bay from the Golden Gate Bridge and live a happily retired life.
