George's Story
Shortly after graduation I went to work in Radio. I worked at CHIM-FM and CKOV Kelowna from 1978 to 1981. I moved to Penticton and worked at CKOR-FM, CKOK and CIGV-FM until 1986. That was when I moved to Princeton to become the Assistant Manager at CKRP/CIOR until the station closed in 1999. In 2000 I was hired ...Expand for more
as Advertising Sales Manager at a local newspaper (Similkameen News Leader) and bought it in 2004. I operated it with my wife until we closed the business in 2016. In 2014 I started working from home as a freelance writer and continue to do this. In 2019 I was elected to Princeton Town Council for a 4-year term.
