George's Story
College
After leaving St. Joe's in 1963 as a senior, I decided to go to Newark College of Engineering (now known as N. J. Institute of Technology). The admissions folks found my six years of Latin and four years of Greek to be interesting but completely irrelevent to an engineering curriculum. In fact, because we did not have any chemistry course in St. Joe's, I had to take a chemistry course at a junior college in order to even be considered for admission. I was eventually accepted and started all over again as a freshman. A tough four years later I graduated and started a great career at IBM for the next 14 years.

I started my career at IBM in 1967 as a Systems Engineer and progressed up the ladder for the next 14 years. After a one year stint at AT&T, I was recruited to Wall Street to work as an Equity Research Analyst covering the networking equipment sector. For the next 23 years I worked at Morgan Stanley. In September 2007 I retired from there and have started my own consulting practice serving companies in the networking and renewable energy technology industries.
My wife Barbara and I recently celebrated our 53th wedding anniversary. We have two wonderful daughters who live nearby together with four terrific grandchildren.
