imes a staff officer, a battalion motor officer, and Chief of Fort Stewart Range Control. I missed Viet Nam by 3 days! My orders were changed to West Berlin, East Germany. I have walked with a limp ever since I was injured in Airbourne Ranger school. When my college friends were starting to make $10,000 per year, I was getting $3,200 in the army. You may rememeber my '63 Chevy with the 409 in highschool. I'm still building hot rods. I currently own an 1948 Anglia with a 671 blower. See dixielandcruisers.org/george_padgett_project4.html I'm the webmaster for Dixieland Cruisers of Savannah, Ga.
