George's Story

Salutations All, I am married to my beautiful wife Yvonne and my daughter Samantha is 23 and she worked full time as a professional tattoo artist and was going to college part time and now she has resigned from work to go to college full time in the medical field. Sam is married to a Sergeant in Special Operations and lives on Fort Campbell with her husband Robert. My son George III which and he has followed my lead and is stationed at Fort Campbell and will deploy to OEF in October 2014 and return from Afganastan in October 2015. George III is married to Lillie; and they have a son; born in September 2014, however he will still be on mission in 2015, just like when he was born while I was in combat at Mogadisdu, Solomiala in from May 1993 to November 1993. I served in the military for the last 25 years. I am currently a retired US Army, First Sergeant, (E-8). I now live in Tennessee, near Fort Campbell. My career field was is in Logistics and I was formerly a Transportation Company First Sergeant and deployed my company of 162 soldiers to Iraq on the first phase of the ground war in March of 2003 and returned 162 soldiers to their loved ones without accident or incident, injury or capture ... the culmination of 25 year carrer and training them for 2 years prior to taking them into combat. As for now, I graduated from Bethel University where I studied Business Management and Organizational Development. I enjoy reading, writing, physical fitness and riding my Harley(s), and for an undetermined reason ... I keep taking college classes and hope to stop sometime around a PhD, otherwise I may just be a life time student. I just started back to college again, this time taking a Private Investigator course. I'd like to specialize in finding missing persons. I was offered a job by the federal government when I retired and worked for them for five years, but every time I worked, along with my retirement pay, it just kicked me in a higher tax bracket, so I resigned and now I just do whatever I want which is usually projects and I just finished a Victory Red 50th Anniversary Z06 Corvette and currently I am restoring a 1984 C20 pickup truck with a 454 ci engine & 700R transmission. I have aquired a 1970 CST / 10 Pickup Truck for my next project. However, that maybe delayed since my son needs a new power pack in his Dodge Ram Charger, that came with a 318, which are normally bullet proof. I have a 360 laying around that would fit in his truck like a glove. However, 318's are internally balanced, and 360's are externally balanced. So, I know B&M has a flex plate that could be installed between the engine and transmission, but to me, it is better to just weld the 120 gram weight to the torque converte...Expand for more
r and be done with it. I serached for a over a year to find a 50th Anniversary Z06, Victory Red Corvette and finished that project recently, she has a LS6 5.7 that came from the facotry rated at 405 HP to the rear tires. I bumped that up over another 100 hp with a whisler blower and a cat back exhaust system, (well over another 100 hp), since a whisler fits under the stock hood, Zowie looks all stock right down to the four stock exshaut pipes. I hated to do it, but I traded a 2005 GTO that had a 6.0 LS6 engine rated at 422 HP to the rear wheels. I also hated to trade my Trans Am Formula for the GTO. Yep, still a motor head like when I was in my teens. I also like to take off on my 2011HD Road Glide Ultra Screaming Eagle which is a big ole bagger bike for long road trips, and did ride it to Buffalo about a year back when my older sister got sick; and I had to get a fix of all the great food you can get in Buffalo, that you cannot get any where else, unless you crack the code on how to make it yourself, (please, someone send me some packages of "Texas Hot Sauce for hot dogs from Tops Market ... seriously, I ran out!) My son also rides and will soon buy his first new Harley. Well, my son is back from OEF, he got injured, and was sent back for surgery. He also, switched up and got a CBR 600cc race bike. So, I picked up an Helicon 1125R super bike to convince him to show his butt on a race track, and not on the street. I taught my wife to ride and she had a sportster low rider, however teaching a female that I care about is a lot different than teaching my son, so I got her a Can Am Spider motorbike, which has two wheels on the front and one in the rear and she loves it. I got my son and daughter each a Ninja motorcycle to learn how to ride. My wife also has a V-Star to practice riding on a two wheel motorcycle. I have been riding motorcycles for over 33 years now, of which 20 years have been on Harley's and currently ride a 1999 Vivid Black Softail Night Train and it is just about complete and ready for some custom paint work, (it is my hot rod around town bike, (95 RWHP, rear wheel horse power, and 98 foot pounds of torque). I bought a 2002 HD Road Glide for my Father, (recently deceased). My brothers and younger sister also ride. I have been racing cars since 1982, and started by running on a dirt track in the enduro class, (80 laps) at Fort Polk, LA. I currently run a 2005 GTO - LS6 6.0 at 422 RWHP in the 1/4 mile and it pulls a 10.51 seconds, (recently traded for a Z06 Corvette). I look forward to hearing from any old friends, best wishes to you in all your pursuits ... and always remember that hard work pays off in the future but laziness pays off now! Very Respectfully, George
