George's Story

After High School I went into the US Army. I went to basic training in Ft Jackson,Sc and went on to my AIT training in Ft Sam Housten,TX and to my first duty station in Ft Irwin,Ca. I was trained as a combat medic and left the Army in two years later for reasons of conscience{Honorbly Discharged}| I did not want to be a part of. I stayed out in California and re located in Lake Arrowhead,Ca in the mountains looking below at San Bernadino from the top. I really met a lot of good people and still keep in touch with them to this day. I thank God I never had a steaming sexual relationships in High School. I dated and had some gilrfriends here and there but never made it to home plate. The fiends I had in Ridgewood were good friends that were female. It is a good thing it never went that far or had any romance because everything would have changed. I am glad I still have those people today. Out in California I had to learne to stand on my own two feet and earn respect of people. It is not an easy thing but it can be done. In the winter time in the Mountains I made my money. Saved my money and kicked back in the summer months. Or take a road trip going coast to coast in a pick up with a camper and a sleeping bag. I would go see America. I had to return to Florida because my parents were getting ill and I wanted to be around for there last years. In 1999 I met Yvette and in 2000 my first son was born in Manatee Memorial Hospital and in 2004 I had a second son. Tho...Expand for more
se two boy gave my parents best last days of there lives. What I miss the most since my sons were born is SLEEP. I drive an 18 wheeler hauling HAZMAT/Refer freight. I like the job because I love to see the county even though I miss my family when I am away days at a time. I really do not have a story. Success can not be measured in who makes the most money and has the most toys. I am content with what I have and really care less if my neighbor spent $5000 on tire rims and a $3000 car stereo which the rims and the stereo might worth more than the car. I just do not play that game anymore. I am not impressed anymore with people like that. I keep it simple and not complicate anything. I see my county and my state going to hell in a hand basket. It is frightening. I can not in good conscience be silent. Someone has to say something. What I see happen today is the same what was happening in NAZI Germany before 6 million people were put to death in prison camps. Hillery,Obama and McCain I have no confidence in. They are the reason why we pay almost $4.00 at the gas pump for a gallon of gas. Why should I trust them to fix it. I am looking at the Libertarian and Constitution party as an alternative solution The only republican I vote for is Ron Paul. All the others failed us. I learned through my experience as an Adult after High School is that keep good people around you .It will save you lots of trouble in the long run and looking back I have no regrets.
