Gerri's Story

I am married the 2nd time . Divorce once and have two sons from my 1st marriage. I have to grandchildren from my oldest son and my youngest is not married. I was a hairdresser for many years out of high school and then a stay at home mom for about 5 years. After my divorce I waitressed so I could be home with my kids after school.I then became politically active...Expand for more
in my town and started working and going to school and becamed Proviso Township Deputy Assessor. I ran for the Assessor spot 16 years later but lost in a 3 way race. I then became Senior housing Director for the Village Of Melrose Park for 4 years and then retired. I am back working part-time for Proviso Township as a driver in the Senior transportation Dept.
