What I Believe
Inspiration of the Bible:
I believe the Bible, the Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament, is verbally inspired of God. It is the inerrant, infallible and authoritative word of God, therefore the supreme and final authority in all things. (2 Timothy 3:16-17;
2 Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:18-19)
Trinity of the Godhead:
I believe in one God (monotheism), eternally existing in three persons (the Trinity): the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19)
Fall of Man:
I believe man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, become sinners by choice and practice in thought, word, and deed. (Romans 5:12; Genesis 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 11:7)
Virgin Birth:
I believe Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is truly God and truly man. (Matthew 1:20-21; Luke 1:35-36; Luke 2:10-11)
Bodily Resurrection:
I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us.

Salvation by Grace thru Faith:

Separation:
I believe in separation from the world. All believers are called into a life of personal separation from all worldly and sinful practices. (James 4:4; Romans 12:1-2;
2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
I believe a Christian should seek to live a life that is holy and above reproach. He should behave so as to be of good report. Practices which are questionable or which may cause another person to stumble should be avoided. (Romans 14:21)
I believe the Scriptures teach us to give offerings and tithes from our income and resources into the Lord's treasury, and that all of us have a responsibility before God to be faithful every week in our stewardship.

I believe each person claiming Christ as Savior should promptly make public their profession of Christ that each new Christian should follow the Lord's commandment to be baptized. That such scriptural baptism is by immersion in water, it is the Lord's New Testament commandment for us. Being baptized shows obedience to the Lords commandment. We die, we are buried, and raised from the dead just as Jesus Christ was (Mark 16:15-18 Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 16:30-34;

I believe each believer is born into the family of God, is in fact a son or daughter of the living God, is redeemed by the Lord's purchase price paid for us, is preserved in Christ, therefore is secure in Christ, and possesses everlasting, eternal life.

Local Church:
I believe the church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have banded together for the purpose of evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship, and that every Christian should commit himself to such a local church and serve the Lord through that church
I believe the Lord's great commission to the church is to get the gospel to the world, with the goal of winning people to Christ, baptizing them, and teaching them whatever the Lord has commanded us. (Matthew 18-20; Acts 1:8)
Personality of Satan:
I believe that Satan is a real being, a personal devil; that he is the enemy of God, the "father of lies", the great deceiver of mankind, and is the instigator of all false systems of religion, and both he and all his followers will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire. Blessedness of the Saved, Punishment of the Lost:
I believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the everlasting blessedness of the saved (heaven), and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (hell). (1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:12-15)
Eschatology:
I believe in "that blessed hope", the personal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;
