Gina's Story
Life
At the age of 2 weeks old, I was diagnoised with Spinal Meningitis and placed with a VP "ventricular pump" shunt. I have had 3 revisions done since then and still have to deal with it. Most of my life I have been teased because of my weight, but as an adult I have learned to deal with ignorance of others. I had very few friends growing up, but for the ones that I had and still have stuck by me...I thank them for being there for me and being my friend. I was always faced with obstacles growing up. Workplace
In 1999, I did seasonal work for NCIM (New Concepts in Marketing) as a food/product sampler for Kroger's or the Southern Women's show.
From May 1999 to January 2003, I worked for JCPenney Outlet in the Raleigh Springs Mall in Memphis. I worked for a temp service at Storage USA for about 3 months and went to medical school. I was with AJ Wright from June 2004 - Dec. 2005. Now I'm out of retail and working in the corporate world with ACB (Advertising Checking Bureau).
