Glen's Story
I started school at the Radar Base in Sydney (Cape Breton), Nova Scotia. I was in the Primary - 1 - 2 - 3 class. I was not a good student and was labelled the 1960's version of Special Needs. This followed me until high school.
We moved from Sydney to Halifax where I attended the school near Lakefront Apartments. We moved again and I went to Harbourview Elementary in Dartmouth, NS.
In 1964 we moved to Metz, France where I attended grades 4 to 6. Great place to live. (I used to play in the bunkers). In 1967 we moved to Lahr, Germany where the Canadians replaced the French when deGaulle opted out of NATO. What a place to live - beautiful people and weather and scenery.
In 1968 we returned to Canada and moved to Ottawa where I attended Grade 8 at J.H. Putman Junior High.
I attended Laurentian High School from 1969 to 1973. I ...Expand for more
moved to Kitchener in '73 and attended Forest Heights CI for Grade 13.
I went to Univ of Waterloo, after Grade 13, for Engineering but dropped out after 3 semesters. I kicked around Kitchener for a couple of years, riding motorcycles, working here and there. I went out west a couple of times working here and there (and riding motorbikes).
I ended up going to Dalhousie University in Halifax and graduated with a couple of degrees. I liked it here and worked all over the province. I even joined the Army. :( (Sorry, but I am not very smart.)
I was married (most of you are probably surpised at that - I was such an ass) and divorced (not my fault). I have a 14 year old son from that disaster. I'll say no more about that.
I'll soon have 'bikes (plural) again and will ride 'til I die. I look forward to seeing you on the road! Ciao!
