Glenda's Story
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a lousy idea. As it turns out, they were partially right. I didn't let that stop me and now I am an RN...still teaching, and the pay is better.
I do spend a lot of time involved in charity/volunteer activity and really enjoy it. I miss Oak Cliff tho and get over there as often as I can. My activities carry me over there just about every month if not more often and I always feel sad when I go back "across the river". t ended up not living in Oak Cliff anymore. I have lived in Dallas, Seagoville, Garland, Birmingham (Alabama), and probably some other places I can't recall at the present.
I was lucky enough to have my own band for several years and actually fund my nursing degree with it and I still play but not in the clubs. My instrument is still the guitar and along the way I added the piano to that list.
I am ever hopeful about most of life and I keep involved.......I hope that I can hook back up with folks I knew at Sunset and some from Kimball and Adamson, too.
