Gloria's Story
My husband, Paul, and I live in Livermore, CA. I am now retired from Hewlett-Packard and love being retired, having lunch with old friends and meeting new ones.
Paul is active in model railroading. He belongs to the Alameda County railroad club which meets at the Alameda County fairgrounds. The club is open to the public on Friday nights and is open daily during the fair in June/July as well as other events during the year. I belonged for awhile but decided it is pretty much a "good ol' boys club" so graciously bowed out.
I have 3 daughters, Donna is a teacher in Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda is a pulmonary therapist in Lakewood, CO and April is a bank manager in Siren, W...Expand for more
I. I have 3 granddaughters, Kelsey, Nicole and Stephanie and 3 grandsons, Ian, Derik and Dalton; we have a great grandson, Ian Jr. who is now 18 months old.
2011 has proven quite hectic and exciting... Ian returned from Afghanistan in January and we travelled to Ft. Hood, TX for his homecoming. In May, Derik graduated from Eastern New Mexico University so it was off again to Roswell, NM for graduation. June brought 2 high school graduations... Kelsey graduated in Colorado Springs and Nichole graduated in Grand Junction. Sooo... to Colorado we went. Then in July, it was travel to Marlinton for our 50th class reunion. It was wonderful seeing and visiting with everyone.
