Gloria's Story
Life
Well where do I start? I have traveled the country lived in New York, where I was born, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, California and for the last 8 years in Georgia. I was in the Navy briefly, married and divorced my first "real" boyfriend and last year at the age of 35, I had my first child! I live my life as simply as possible and now my days are filled with taking care of my one year old and work.

School
After being in so many schools growing, the one teacher that has stood out in my mind is Mrs. Rita Ann Gearhart. I was in the 6th grade and had just moved from NY to OH, so not only was I new, I stood apart because as I was told "you talked funny"! I was smaller than most of the girls and was not developing at all at this stage. Mrs. Gearhart told me something that sticks with me today and I us...Expand for more

My first real crush was David Lee, again this was in OH, to this day I think about him and wonder what happened to him, he disappeared once we hit JH. The funniest thing that happened was in OH's Goodrich JH, it was lunch time and I was carrying my tray and going to my table, the lunchroom was so noisy, you could barely hear your own thoughts. I sat my tray on the table, pulled out my chair and sat...the next thing I heard was TWAAACK! and I was sitting on the floor with the chair spread eagle beneath me and then there was silence, for about 10 seconds and then the laughter came.....the whole school knew about this by time lunch was over and I went to my homeroom and even my homeroom teacher was making jokes, mind you if I weighed 80lbs. wet I was doing good. All in all, my best memories is when we moved to Akron, OH.
