Gordon's Story

I was a trumpet player in the POCO band from 1971-73 which sustained me through my high school years. I rode a motorcylde for the most part and have vivid memories freezing to near death riding to and from school. Any time my folks gave me a car it seemed to end up in an accident...motorcycles appeared safer for me.... Since those years I have lived and worked in the US and transferred with my company around the country. I have been in Michigan for 19 years with my family -my wife, my 2 children an...Expand for more
d their kids - my grandchildren. My folks live in Surrey and my family is spread between BC and Oregon. Michigan is a good place to be - lot's of water - kind of like BC. My POCO experience was very good with lots of great memories. I always wanted to be a professional trumpeter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an OK idea. As it turns out, they were good to encourage me but there was no money in it unless I was really good --- which I was not. Dreams are a good thing to have.
