Life:\
Where to begin??! After Carson, I got a job as a Youth Counsellor on a Government Grant. Was a fun job helping street kids and young travelers with information on places to stay, Food, birth control etc. During this time I was playing in a rock band called Fire (Formally Blues Cage Blues Band) as The Lead Singer/Frontman with Gary Sullivan on Bass, John Nolan on Drums (Formally Ed Harvey on Drums)and Peter Glasgow on Lead Guitar. I thought this would be my lifelong Gig, but soon I was working for Axis Entertainment, Bruce Allen and Associates and Whitefoot Entertainments as a Booking Agent, helping OTHER musicians...Expand for more
meet their dreams of Rock and Roll fame and fortune! I continued to Jam with Friends and other Musicians in my spare time. When Disco became popular in the mid 70's and less people were booking live acts, I worked as a "DJ" in Night Clubs and this inspired my decision to go to BCIT for Communication Broadcast Technology. I did a little radio through out The Province, but was mainly a 'Swing Jock' filling in for regular Radio Annoucners. A short stint in Victoria with the Coast Guard and a job with Eatons, eventually as a Buyer sent me back to The Mainland and Eaton's Coquitlam. I continued to do 'Night Gigs' in Radio, Night Clubs and the odd gig singing in bands. In 1981 I decided it was time for a great job with great benefits and joined Transit as a Bus Driver! I hope to retire in 2011 with 30 years service!
In 2006 I was diagnosed with a heart condition called Cardio Myopathy. Was pretty scary as my heart enlarged and I was told to 'Get My Affairs in Order'! After 6 months at The Healthy Heart Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital, it was discovered that my condition was 'Viral' and I was put on the appropriate medications and am back to "Normal" (Well as 'Normal' as a Gordy Partridge can be! ha!) Looking forward to retiring, hopefully in January of '11 with 30 years service with Transit. I am single and loving it...I DO love going out with long lost friends however..Coffee anyone??!
