Greg's Story
Well. I was born and raised in Detroit. Went to four schools there. Amos, Nienas,Earhart Jr. High, Western High School. Lived on, McMillan St., Campbell Ave., and Morrell St. Father worked for Chrysler Corp. Moved our family to Belvidere,Il. back in 1976 after transfer of his job.I have two other brothers, Marcus and Raymond. Was in the United States Army for six years. Was married for a short time. it a lot and the friends I had there. The old neighborhood has changed a lot since "76". Where the heck did some houses disappear to?,and the A&P store, dime store, Angelo's corner store on Junction & Newberry, Cunningham's Drug Store?
I'll never forget the Halloween's we had then. Did'nt get back home until around 11:00P.M. Sack full of candy. I also remember the bad times of the riot's. Hey! What ever happend to the Goul show, "Over Day"? Anyway, nuff said. Long live the Motor City, Detroit Rock City!!!!!!!!
