Greg "Scottie"'s Story
Life
I have moved back to Brock from Oklahoma City, OK and before that, i was living in Lubbock, TX. I have been married and divorced twice. I have been dignosed with diabetes and depression. I am getting treatment for both. The depression caused my divorced from my 2nd wife. My mother died from cancer in March 2005. It was hard on all of us, especially hard on my Dad, sister Kristi, my niece Nikki and me. She is in a better place. Kristi and i are closer than we ever have been. I am not working due to my ongoing health problems. I have now been to 34 States. I went to Greenwood, South Carolina in June 2006, to see my cousin, Lori and play in a Putt-Putt in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I had not seen Lori in 16 yrs. It was a great visit. I went back there this past August 2006 to see her again and play in another Putt-Putt tournament in Columbia, South Carolina, home of the University of South Carolina Fighting Gamecocks. I went to Las Vegas the weekend of July 8-9, 2006 to help celebrate my Aunt and Uncles' 50th wedding anniversary. I saw some of my cousins and 2nd cousins that i have not seen in several yrs. The party was great and there was some dancing and i was dancing along with my cousins. The best dancers were me, my cousins Bridget, Erin, and Lori. Lori is the one in the picture with me wearing the Oklahoma State cap and t-shirt. I went to the Texas Tech homecoming game on October 7, 2006 when they played the Missouri Tigers. I left for Tempe, Arizona on December 26, 2006 to go watch Texas Tech play Minnesota in the Insight Bowl on December 29, 2006. I did not know that i would ...Expand for more
be watching history in the making. Down 38-7 in the 3rd, Texas Tech came all the way back and won 44-41 in OT. It was the largest bowl comeback to win. Then i went back to Lubbock, Texas on December 31, 2006 to spend New Years eve and on New Years Day, i was at the Texas Tech-New Mexico mens game and watch Coach Knight win #880 to break the all time men's win list. That was awesome. I have been back several times to watch the Men's and Women's basketball teams play in January and Febuary. I went to the Philippines September 21, 2007 and visited my fiance and her family and i came back to Texas on October 31, 2007 at 5am and i had a great time. It was my 1st visit to the Philippines since Sept 1997. We are planning to get married here in Texas sometime in 2008 or 2009. More later.
School
When i was in high school, i had a crush on Jo Ann Hamm, Kim Moss, Debra Shadden, Gail Brabson, Donna Gill, Donna Shirley, Dianna Shirley, Carla Deaver, Brenna Melton, Elizabeth Sterns, Gena Harwell, and Kellie Clinton. They were are so super sweet and very kind to me. Doesn't seem like that when you hear certain songs from your school days, it brings back some memories. That is how i feel when i hear those songs....I had a crush on a girls basketball player when i was in the 8th grade and would ride my bike just to watch pratice. She was 4 yrs older than me, but it didn't matter to me....I was once in love with a classmate when i was a sophomore, but she did not seem interested in me and i never dated when i was in high school. I had my 1st date when i was 23, and i am 48 now. Dang that was 25 yrs ago.
