Gregg's Story
I've been in Florida since '86. I've been lucky to travel and ski all around the world. I'm semi-retired and will always do something to keep me involved in daily living.
This will ruffle a few feathers, Lifetime member of the NRA. I'm a long distance shooter, enough said. I shoot several times a week at my gun club. We have the only 1000 yd range that is open to non-members in the southeast.
I lost my son in 1978. It still is the worst day of my life. In 2011, I reached my personal goal of finding my daughter who was born out of wedlock in 1970 and put up for adoption by her birth mother. I made a promise to myself to find her. I had to let her know that I wanted her and that she was loved. I finally found her 41 1/2 years later. I only saw her once after birth and was not allowed to hold her. I can't ev...Expand for more
en begin to explain what it was like to hug her for the first time. I'm a happy man and proud of my girl.
I've been married twice and have been single since 1998. My home was build in 1915 in what is now the historic part of town. I've enjoyed all the good moments in my life and have accepted the worst.
I don't dwell on the past and look forward to the future. I must add, the years have passed quicker than I expected. The best moments were too short and the worst, a little too long.
I prefer the company of my dogs and enjoy a slower lifestyle in Florida. Though quantity of life is desirable, quality of life is more important.
I support many charities with a monthly contribution and encourage everyone to at least pick ONE to donate. You just have to give something back for those who need that extra help.
