Gregory Tomsic:  

Life After graduating, I attended UB for 5 years and received a Master of Architecture Degree in 1978. After several years of work experience and passing the 12-part exam, I became a Licensed Architect in 1984 with National Certification. While attending UB, I was able to attain enough experience in order to be admitted to the Land Surveyor‚'s exam and received that license in 1979. I first became a partner in 1985 (Biggie Sturniolo Tomsic) and remained there until the firm, through various name changes, dissolved in 1997. After other ventures, I again became a partner in 2004 at Mach Architecture + Engineering, a member of the Bernier Carr Group, where our work, mostly educational facilities (K-12 and University), takes us throughout NYS. Recently I'’ve become a US Green Building Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified Professional. With that and the efforts of our firm, I was able to present Binghamton University with their first "green" building that is also the first LEED Certified Dormitory in NY. Since then I became a Code Enforcement Officer to better serve our clients. However, in January 2012 I left Mach Architecture and joined with my friend and collegue at Silvestri Architects. I have become a certified Home Inspector and have recently been admittd to the American Arbitration Association Board of Neutrals. I am also a licensed Architect in Massachusetts and Wisconsin and an instrument rated private pilot. I first married in 1978 (Jill) and made our home in Tonawanda.
