Guy's Story
It all started the day I was born, The family came to Hawaii in 1947, I was 18 months ols, My fther was part of the original Cadre that started the Hawaii Air National Guard. Moved to Kailua and attended Kailua Elementary for the second and third grade, I then attended St Anthony's from the fourth thru the eighth grade, After that I attended St. Ann's in Kaneoe for the ninth grade. I then went ot Kailua High for the tenth and eleventh grades. My parents sent me to a military boarding school in Charlottesville VA Called the Miller School of Albermarle, I repeated the eleventh grade and graduated in 1964, I then went to Lafayette, La and attended the University of Southwest Louisiana. I quit school and went to Key West Florida in search of the beautiful beaches I left behind in Hawaii. in 1967 I enlisted in the Army was assigned a an MP. tion "Camp Kuma" located near Chitose Japan. I spent two years there and then transferred to Two Rock Ranch Station located near Petaluma California. I volunteered for Veit Nam and spent my last year in the army assigned to the 509th Radio Research Group 224th Aviation battalion, First six months were spent with the 146th aviation-company located at Long Than North. My last six months were at the 138th Aviation Company located at Phu Bai. After the Army I returned to Louisiana and joined the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Dept. I worked in the Detective Division and was Chief of Detectives when in 1981 I resigned to join the Louisiana State Police. I worked various assignments form Detectives to Gaming Enforcement. I retired in 2002 as a lieutenant. I got married shortly after returning form the Army in 1971. I have two sons. and two grand children Received an Associate Degree in Law-enforcement in 1978
