Hal's Story
Geez, five schools and counting. I've exaggerated, embellished, and succumbed to truthiness right out of the blocks: never went to the Lab School, just figured a lot of my O'Keefe buddies went there. And South Shore HS.
The family into which I was boren was on the move throughout the 60's it seemed, and this may not even be the entire list--I think I gotta add a few more.
I have some nice memories of fellow students I befriended and then had to say good bye to when my old man would be packin' up the family. My kids have known one zipcode their entire lives 19128 in Philadelpha PA.
I suspect, if I'm remembered, it will be as "the funny kid" because like many transient students, I needed a sense of humor to fit in quickly.

e and foreign, exacerbated by the murder of a lovely seventh grade classmate. Still unsolved from what I can tell. Joy Sims and her parents. Surreal to say the least.
Evanston was just ok. My parents marriage was coming apart, so that was the backdrop for grades nine through twelve.
The solo move to private school in Bryn Athyn PA was the beginning of the break for me from a life growing up largely in the Midwest. I love the East Coast, having now lived here for twenty-eight years. Lovely wife, two great kids, big stone house near the park and the Schuykill River. Fifteen years on the job with the same company. Lots of friends and contacts. I'm all about stability.
