Hank's Story

School After South Meck I went to Clemson. BS Building Construction spring 1970. Regulation 4 years. Nothing exciting. College Started Architecture fall 1966. Lived brand new "shoebox" '66-67 Wes Bracken roomie, Clayton House '67-68 Mack Law roomie, East Campus Apartments '68-70 Sarah M. Bellamy roomie. Graduated spring 1970 BS BC "Cum Lawdy Lawdy" Workplace After Clemson I worked for Bechtel Corp, in San Francisco CA then Olympia WA. 1973 we travelled in Europe for 9 mos until the money ran out, then returned to Charlotte to work for Thurm...Expand for more
an Starnes (Lydia's Dad) building. Then 1976 went into construction business with Tom Vogler (Myers Park/Clemson), built & developed houses around Charlotte. 1979 took a year off lived on the beach, until the money ran out. Then back to Charlotte 1980. Construction. 1984 moved to Hilton Head, SC. Then 1998 to Bluffton, SC. More construction. Moved to Italy (Tuscany) 2004. Construction, winemaking, farming. Quit work January 2006, came back home & now I paint large surrealist/photorealist canvasses full time. That is, until the money runs out.
