Life After Bethel, I went to Christopher Newport University for my bachelor's degree. Half-way through my freshmen year I decided to change my major from Psychology to get this, Communication Studies. It was actually a public speaking class that lead me to the big decision. I know lots of people saw me as a quiet girl in high school, and I was somewhat. But I love communicating with people. If not in a big, public speaking setting, then through art and small group situations. So there you have it, my career change explained. My fascination with the media also pushed me into the Communication field. A favorite class at CNU was my Communication and Film course. In May 2003, I graduated and had to decided what to do from there. So, I thought about it and applied to graduate school at Regent University in Virginia Beach. I got in, yeah! I wasn't sure what track to take though. Their Communication Studies program looked good, but I was also tempted to go in another direction.
