Harmon's Story
Attend school at Hindman and played basket before my family moved near carr creek school. in 1949. I played basket ball with Wink Miller,B Stamper,Manis Mullins,Gillis Ready. I don't remember every one on my the team. I wanted to beat the Hindman team so bad and we can very close in an invation tournament at Morehead collage, There was teams all over the state divided in two brackets Carr creek and Hindman drew separate brackets, both Knott County teams advanced to the final game.. Dottie Amburgey and I were married 8-20-1949, moved to Barñwell S.C., with our 9 month old son in 1952, Where we now live. I worked for DuPont, retired a works Engineering supervisor with 37 years service. We just celebrated our 72 Year wedding anniversary.
We both think of our early years ln Kentucky as home.
Some facts folks at carr creek didn't know: that I was kin to Sprout Johnson's wife, Don and wink Miller:s father was my first cousin, that made Wink and Don my first cousin once
