Heathelyn's Story
Life
I never thought I would stay in Indiana, but while I was attending Purdue, I met the man of my dreams. After just 4 months, Chris and I decided to tie the knot. We've been married for 12 years now. Chris owns a very successful commercial floor-covering business. This allows me the luxery of being a stay-at-home mom. It has also made it possible for us to fulfill many of our dreams. In 2003, we built our dream home: a 4800 sq. ft., 5 bedroom house that my husband and I designed ourselves in an upscale neighborhood in a beautiful little town. We have also had the chance to go on a few cruises in addition to traveling a bit in Europe. We love scuba diving and have been diving all over the Caribbean, off the coast of Mexico and in Hawaii. We have 4 wonderful children: an 11 yr-old son (Oren), an 8 yr-old daughter (Malia), a 5 yr-old daughter (Ainsley)and 2 yr-old daughter (E...Expand for more
nessa). College had to take a back seat to full-time motherhood. But I plan to finish once my children are all in school. My life right now is filled with soccer games, scouts, piano lessons, and playgroups. I love it and wouldn't miss a minute of it, though I do manage to take regular breaks to do kickboxing, work in my garden or blog. I hope all of your lives have turned out wonderfully. I'm very happy with mine.
College
After high school I went to Tennessee for one semester. Then I transfered to Purdue. I went there until Chris and I married in January of 1997. Since my husband's business is in Indianapolis, I transfered to IUPUI. We decided to start a family right away, so college got pushed to the back burner. The Bible says there is a time to every season. This season is for raising my children. But once they are in school full time, I will go back and finish college.
