Heather's Story
Life
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelors degree of science in education. I am currently a 5th grade teacher at Newlin Elementary in Burlington, North Carolina. I was married September 17th, 2005 to my long time boyfriend, John McMahan, a Lakeshore graduate.

, NC. After graduating from Western Michigan University in 2005, I found it difficult to find any elementary teaching positions in Michigan. So here I am in North Carolina teaching, where teaching jobs come so easily. My husband and I plan to stay here in North Carolina for a few years, then hopefully move back home to Michigan or somewhere in the Midwest.
