Heather's Story
Life
I am now Married, living in Maryland. I have been with my husband, Jacob Dodd, (from the DuBois area) since 1995. He is an amazing person! We moved to Frederick, MD when he received a job invitation to IBM upon finishing College with a Computer Science degree. He now has two Masters Degrees, and is in a Management - Development position at Honeywell.
I realize many of you may remember that I attended Brockway school, although I disappeared from time to time.. including the last two years. I was mostly in foster homes, although the last two years were a little different.
I was shipped to DuBois school for my junior and part of my senior year to attend "Emotional Support" classes. Basically, they were terribly boring, and not stimulating whatsoever. So, I wound up getting into trouble my senior year due to boredom. I was then "Home schooled" via a teacher who came to my home the remainder of the year.
Anyway, back to my life...

lities. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Hashimoto's Disease, and several other disorders. I am currently wheelchair bound.. although I am still attempting to finish college. I just take courses from home at this time.
Unfortunately, my illness ruined my chances at finishing my PharmD program, as I could not finish my courses at home - (I was in my final year, and one must be present to attend externship)..although I still have chances for interesting work. I am back in school, online of course, with a major in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Science.
I miss many of my friends from school, especially the one and only Sharon Galentine! She was a large influence on my life. I am quite thankful that she has happened upon this, and we have spoken.. as well as several other friends from the old days.
