Heather's Story

Life Wow! 1989 seems like such a long time ago! And, yet, there are some memories so clear that they seem only seconds past in my mind. But, I imagine that's probably true for most of us. Isn't it nice that we aren't quite so old and senile that we can still say that? I'm back (home), in McAlester, after ten years living and teaching in Ada. Interestingly enough, Shannon Rausche and I have been dating for about five years, now. (And, If that isn't proof that life is full of strange little twists of fate, proof doesn't exist.) We have, between us, three great children ages 12, 10 and 2 and we spend most of our time enjoying sports, traveling and spending time with our family and friends. Shannon has become quite the little shutterbug so we have tons of pictures of, well, EVERYthing, but most especially of McAlester Landmarks. Just ask, we'll be glad to share. in catching up on old times or even just catching a game, look us up. The door's always open. (Not literally. But it could be if you knock hard enough.) I look forward to hearing from (or seeing) you. College I was very studious in High School but more FUN in college. (College does that.) I met some of the best people that I'll ever know during my college years. And, while I'll eventually go back and finish my Masters, right now, I'm pretty content with where I am in life. If you ask me, that's not a bad place to be. Workplace Right now, I'm not really using my degree but, rather, am working in Medical Billing and Management for a local Medical and Durable Equipment Supply Company. I also, deliver medicine to local shut-ins and Nursing homes six days a week for the Pharmacy affiliated with our Medical Supply Company. The second job is a very selfish indulgence. But, as far as self indulgences go, I guess it could be worse.
