Heather's Story
Life
I graduated from nursing in Sept./68, married right after and moved to our home farm. We added a daughter and 5 sons and now 6 inlaws and 15 grandkids. We bought a second small farm some years ago and built a lovely house for our future retirement.but have sold it to our son and family We spent most vacations at a cottage up north while our kids were younger. We have managed to see a lot of Canada over the years. I still want to visit the Yukon and revisit other Canadian places. We've been to Costa Rica, Aruba and recently Holland and Belgium. I worked in nursing for a few years but mostly worked on our farm, as there is always plenty to do. I do some sewing, lots of cooking and baking, gardening, reading
and of course enjoy the grandkids . Having grandkids is the reward you get for all the work raising your kids and so worth it!

ght a beautiful farm on the Thames river at the end of 2013 and moved there in early Jan. My husband called it his ' little piece of heaven'. After a busy summer raising cattle and caring for the horses and chickens, Bill passed away suddenly in Aug. He was a picture of good health and always smiling and kind. What a gift he was for me, my kids, my grandkids, his big family, our dear friends and our many associates. We celebrated his life with more than a thousand others. As I move forward without him, the memories we made help me cope. He always dealt contentedly with life as it came and I will try to do the same. I now live close to our family farm. MyTravels have taken me to the Caribbean, Germany, France, Switzerland, parts of the USA and recently Italy. I am thankful for all the wonderful people in my life and the great country I call home.
