Life After High School, I went to U.B.C., Kwantlen College, and then U.B.C. again. I finished my B.A. majoring in Psychology in 1995. I worked as a youth director at a church briefly and then went to school in Seward, Nebraska to receive graduate level training as a Director of Christian Edcuation with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The program required a one year internship wherever the school chose to send us. I went to East Wenatchee, Washington. While still on my internship, I met my husband on a blind date. The church there asked me to stay after the internship and I worked there until our wedding on May 20, 2000. Yes, it took me until my late twenties to finally find just the right man for me - picky, picky, picky :) My husband is a dryland wheat farmer in Eastern Washington (100 miles from where I was working). We put a lot of miles/kms on our cars driving back and forth to see each other. I quit my job about 3 weeks before the wedding and lived with his parents while we finished preparing for the big event.
