Heidi Ann's Story
Life
I joined the AF when I was 22 and stayed for 11 years. After I left the Air Force I worked for a large healthcare company for about a year in Richmond VA and then decided I needed some new horizons. I accepted a position (Oct 2002) as a contractor working overseas doing security work. 2002-2003 I was in Sao Paulo Brazil. Sao Paulo is the 3rd largest city in the world. It was a great place to spend a year.
2003-2005 I was in Germany (for the second time). I love Europe, so it was heaven as far as I am concerned.
Mar 2006 - present I am in Kingston Jamacia working. Ok, Kingston is not the greatest place to live. I will say this much, I am glad I am living here and seeing Jamaica for what it really is instead of just being a tourist and not seeing Jamaica. Yea Man! At any rate, the place is pretty expensive, more so then Europe with a 16% tax. It is no wonder the crime here is ...Expand for more
out of this world.
I got engaged this past Aug 05 to a great guy! He is half German and half Croatian and our wedding is set for 12 May 2007.
School
School wasn't my bag of tea. Maybe I was bored, or just plain lazy, but school was not academically fun for me. I just never seemed to get it. Thankfully, I did a lot better with college. I actually applied myself!
Workplace
I worked with HCA for only a year. It was very interesting for me to go from the Air Force to Corporate America (what I saw of it). I will say, the people that I worked with at HCA taught me a lot. Thanks everyone.
Military
I had a pretty good stint with the Air Force. Of course with anything there are your good points, your fantastic "Oh my gawd, I simply don't believe it" points, and then you have your bad points. Over all though, I learned a lot, enjoyed most of it, and made some excellent friends.
