Helen's Story
Life
Contact me through Helen Lindberg dot com. Helen is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. Her mother, a violinist, and father, a timpanist, both play with the Virginia Symphony. While in high school, she was selected to attend the Region II Governor's Magnet School for the Arts. She has performed in numerous theaters throughout Virginia including The Harrison Opera House in Norfolk and The Barkesdale Theater in Hanover. She holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York City where she studied with Sanford Meisner. l as several tours throughout the state. A stint with the summer outdoor historical drama Tecumseh!, and Helen headed off to Montana to work for a very different kind of children's theater, Missoula Children's Theater, in which she had the daunting task of teaching, directing, and performing with 50 student actors from a different town every week. She feels theater for and by children is exceptionally worthwhile because it promotes education through live theatrical performances and exposes theater to children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to view, or perform in, a live performance. She has played a nurse on "As The World Turns" and appeared in numerous television shows and feature films. Helen currently resides in Spain with her husband C.C. Courtney.
