Hillary's Story
Life
Lived in Danville, CA. 1st-5th grade('75-'79) then moved to Oklahoma 5th - 11th,('79-'86)& had to leave Memorial HS to live w/my Dad in Greenbrae, CA the summer before my senior year.(1987) I am back in Oklahoma (since '94) and went back to college to finish up my degree at NSU. Worked full time & college at nights I finally received my degree in May 2004. I am pretty much the cheerful, happy-go-lucky person I've always been. No drama. I am lucky to have been blessed with good people in my life.
School
High School was great! Of course there some things I wish I had done differently or better, but I am sure we all feel that way. I had lots of fun & great friends -- some of them lifetime or recently refound ones. I am glad to say that I have been lucky enough to get back in contact with some people who are becoming very important in my life today. I am looking forward to the rest of my life!
College
I actually had most of my fun in Business College - Heald Business College, Rohnert Park, CA. (Santa Rosa). We had such a great group of kids from Summer '87 through Spring '88. We were like a little family. We did everything together and went out into the city (SF)on the weekends/weeknights together. What fun! I wish I had kept in touch with everyone... Bobbi, Rob, etc. I...Expand for more
didn't return back to college (North Eastern State University) until I was 26 and I finally graduated in May 2004 with My Degree in MIS.
Workplace
Right after High School I went to Business College in Rohnert Park, CA. A month after graduation I was working for American Express Travel Related Services at the Regional Headquarters in San Francisco. I started out as a Secretary for two salespeople (Al Burkhardt & Pam Perkins). I worked there for 2-1/2 years and then moved to Phoenix, AZ. I worked various long term temp jobs in Phoenix and then eventually settled into a great job for Canyon State Research as a Research Coordinator. After 2 years there, the company closed down and I was back working various temp jobs through VIP Search. I moved to Muskogee, OK to be closer to family & eventually began working at Tubular Corporation of America (which became Grant Prideco - TCA Products) worked there for 9 years and then went to work as a Quality Control Supervisor for DalTile in Muskogee in August of 2004 after graduation. I then decided that I no longer wanted to work in the manufacturing industry so in September 2006 I became a contractor/consultant doing Process Improvement, Project Management and Project Planning. I am currently working University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
