Holly's Story
Life
I'm currently living in Nashville, TN pursuing my music career again as a singer/songwriter. I had a recording contract in 2000, but took a break from music and now I'm back at it. I've performed at The Trap, Wolfy's Den and The Gibson Bluegrass Showcase. During the summer of 2004, I performed as part of the "Nashville Country Show" and I was also chosen by WKDF radio in Nashville from thousands of other artists to compete in the Colgate Country Music Showdown.
I'm also working full time at Strayer University as their Learning Resource Center Manager. I love Nashville and couldn't be happier!
Summer 2005 Update: I was chosen by WKDF radio again this year to sing in the Colgate Country Music Showdown. I had to send in my demo and glossy to the radio station where a panel of judges decided who would participate this year. I was 1 of only 10 people in all of Nashville who got to perform!
May 2006-I'm pursuing my Masters Degree in Public Administration. I'm also still working full time at Strayer and will be in the studio recording this fall. I'll be working with a great producer and will be "shopping" my music to major labels early next year. :)
Feb. 2007-I'm cutting the vocals for my album this month!!!
July 2007-Album should be finished by the end of the year! :) Was just voted "Favorite Female Vocalist" on New Country Stars for the month of June and a "Top Star" on Discover Stars. My songs are now being played by national, indy and internet stations across the country and internationally! Just did my first big live radio interview on 7-11-07!! :) Tour is also going great! You can listen to the first 4 songs from my upcoming album on my MySpace page. Look it up!
Nov. 2007-I'm graduating with my MPA in December and will be starting on my MBA in January. My album will be finished in Feb/March of '08. Things are wonderful!
May 2008-I will be performing and having a fan club party at Fuel on Friday, June 6 during CMA Fest here in Nashville. I'll also be signing autographs at the Hillbi...Expand for more

I'll be back in the studio June 11 & 12 to finally finish the album and a management company is coming to check me out and possibly sign me (keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer! I could use the help-things are getting a little out of hand and way too much for me to keep up with on my own!) We'll be recording 6 more songs, 1 of which I wrote. :) I've been doing radio interviews and did one a couple months ago that had 4 million listeners in Europe alone! Total they thought it was around 17 million worldwide. NICE! I've also started a band and we're booking some shows around town. I'll be finishing my MBA in December (why I decided to pursue 2 masters degrees during all this music madness I'll never know! Guess I'm just an overachiever! With both my Masters I've managed a 4.0) My soon to be fiance (I'll be getting my ring in November-I already have a promise ring) will be home from Iraq in March '09. He's an MP in the Army Reserves. We're planning on getting married next fall. I've already become "bridezilla" and have been buying up wedding magazines and studying colors, dresses, flowers and cakes!
College
I LOVED my college years! I graduated with honors from Ball State University in 1998 with a degree in English (professional writing). I was Vice-President of the Golden Key National Honor Society and a member of Lambda Iota Tau Society (International Literature Honor Society).
I miss all my friends from Elliot Hall! The many times staying up doing papers and too many nights in the bars! Hopefully I'll make it back to Indiana for Homecoming one of these years!
I am now attending Strayer University and will finish my Masters degree in Public Administration in 2007.
