Holly's Story

Life As of 2003 I have started up my company - 'I Feel Pretty' which is a custom jewelry design company. I-Feel-Pretty on the web. I sell on Etsy on the web and eBay mostly and to friends and people who see my work and request a piece of their own. As of July 2004, David and I are moving to Santa Fe, NM - - and plan to stay for a long, long time. Found our 'tribe' in Santa Fe - spiritual, creative, native, simplistic, unpretentious, and love the earth & nature. (Too long in Los Angeles will create a need for 'REAL' things in life!) My suppliers are close by, I am eyeing a potential studio and David can put his large brain to use in the nearby science and high-technology labs. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Remarried December 9th, 2000 to David Moore...the love of my life. STILL no kids! [YET] I know! Chased the career too hard for the first seventeen + years. Ah, the music biz! After 15 years or so of a love-hate relationship with Southern California, I left Los Angeles, eventually crawled back home to Boulder City [around '97] for a couple of years. Met a great, wonderful man and we are starting a new life full of joy and love and many challenges - and hopefully a baby soon. We love to travel - especially old-fashioned road trips throughout the West & Southwest; Sedona is one of the best places on earth! Discovering our ancient history is amazing. We are both admittedly MAJOR-DORKS. Dave is a lead programmer/designer who is still employed after the Dot-Bomb era! [woohoo] and despite my wacky, creative side -...Expand for more
I too am overly technical - Unix Systems Admin. as well as the old electronics engineering schooling [remember those good days at UNR Vern Edmonson, Tom Whelan and Romero Gomez?]. Dave & I met while we both worked at R&R Partners Advertising. We also have two bad kitties - now joined by our new rescue Border collie Pup - Jelly Bean. Great story on how we found and got her Kind of interesting...My Dad married Claire Voorheis [mom of Jim Voorheis class of '76]. Claire also hosted exchange student to BC from Australia - Paul Manuell in '78. She and my dad are very close to him and visit a lot. I have Paul's email addy if anyone is interested. - my mom, Liz Sharpe passed away in '80. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE: July '04 Claire has suddenly taken very gravely, seriously ill and we are agonizing that we may lose her in weeks or less. Paul Manuell just joined us in Sacramento last week after a 26 hour flight from Australia. Please keep her and my dad in your thoughts and prayers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nowadays, I am finally, fully pursuing my creative side via digital photography & professional imaging as well as my Custom Artisan Design Business. I have recently started studying Silversmithing and am incorporating that into my work as well. ON THE WEB...you know how to find it! tujaded on the web The site Flickr on the web I am tujaded there also - TONS of pix!! I-Feel-Pretty at the usual web addy dott com. On Facebook & LinkedIn too Do what you love eh? Live, love, laugh...my friends. ~peace
